SBU Girls Bring Home Hardware

Everyone had a great time.  In the five days of competition, the team bonded with fantastic lifetime memories.  The first two days of competition were somewhat predictable but fun.  In the first four games we outscored our opponents, 62-3.  On the third day we played a tough San Jose team in their home pool who gave us our first deficit of the tournament.  We soon battled back and won 15-5, and that victory sent us into the medal rounds.  In the semifinal game, we started slowly again, but this time it wasn’t easy to recover.  The SBU Ladies regained their composure and defeated an impressive 680 Drivers team by a score of 10-6.  In the championship game, SBU trailed 6-1.  The team regrouped, battled back to within two goals, but eventually lost to the Rose Bowl, 13-7.  A Silver Medal confirms that we are an awesome team that placed 2nd out of 37 teams.  Congratulations, and let’s get ready to do it again next year!!!

Thanks
